Snowing is like... ... a dream comes true...

Hey, not sure of you guys but for me, snowing is like... a dream comes true. It is really an awesome feeling, from head to toe. You feel like running in the snow and playing in the snow and watching the snow in the snow. Your soul will be in the snow when you are in fact not in the snow. It is really an difficult-to-describe feeling. It is exactly like a small little kid waiting for Santa Claus in the movie and finally the Santa Father comes to him and gives him a present! Oh.. i know how childish I am at this point but this is truly ME :)

Watching snow is really really a very nice thing to do. That is true for me, I don't know about you. It is sort of the feeling when you see your beloved coming to you when you are in deep love. Well, I am non-expert in this field since I never have my first love(although looking forward for one), I can know the feeling! Thanks to the dramas that I have watched. Talking about dramas, snowing makes me think of romance!! Romantic environment, Winter Sonata, owww...the sad but romance-ful story of lovers...how wonderful it is to fall in love in the snow. Heard from my friend, Eddy, that France is snowing too, which is really really great! Since France is really popular for its romantic setting, I believe the couples there are all having fun in the snow right now. No jealousy in me but acidity..if you get what I mean! :)

Snowman is always a story for Malaysians but it became a reality this morning for me. I saw snowman, not walking or running, of course, but in the middle of the park, playing with a few children around. How awesome is that. The sunny day brightens everything around. The trees are dancing, the grass are singing, the people are playing! The sunny morning despite its low temperature and cold weather, it is really a cool one. Sun+snow both of them 'builded out' a beautiful picture in the park!
Well, let's the pictures do the talking then! Enjoy!
The day after the snow rain...everyway=white coat of snow
You can see the sky...and millenium stadium...spectacular!!
Beautiful trees in a beautiful park= prefect scenery

At last, snowball...snow war anyone?? :)

upDate on snow :)

Yesterday, i posted about the snow. And today i am going to update on the snow yesterday. Sorry for the late update. I said that it will take a few days to turn the main building into 'snow white' but.. who knows it just took a few minutes, if not, a few hours after the post! It was really amazing! By the way, the coming week is going to be more 'snowy', from what the forecast says, Tuesday is another heavy snowing day.

Well, this is what happenned when it snowed yesterday,
> Me myself was really excited, well, I had seen it before, but still anticipated
> My housemates shouted loudly "Myee, it is snowing" the very moment it snowed lightly outside the house
> My lecturer was looking outside in the middle of the lecture. Tutors are amazed and even one of them exclaimed: "Oh, my G*d, snow rain!!"
> My peers kept turning their heads to see what is happening outside the window
> Snow got into my eyes and my mouth (i don't walk with my mouth open anyway)
> I walked half frozen in the snow, taking pictures with my shivering hands just like those having Parkinson's
> Threw snow ball after the snow towards one of my friend.. unfortunately, the snow bomb is too strong to break into pieces.
> Having fun walking on the 'crunchy' pathway as you hear crunchy sound beneath your steps

Every part of Cardiff was coated with a new coat of white snow and the scenery was really awesome! I finished my lecture at 4.30pm yesterday and it was turning relly dark...and I saw new coat of paint for cars:
I saw new coat of paint for trains!! and also the platform floor!
I also saw the pathway starting to turn white after the lecture and people were rushing home..Great that the cars can still move on the road..:)
The spectacular view outside my house across the road = nice

It just SNOW!!! :) A+W+E+S+O+M+E

Well..It SNOWS. This is actually the second time that I see snow. The first is when I went to Japan few years back. But still, I am excited to see snow!! It really is snowing in Cardiff!! Woo...that is so great!! I think the main Uni building will become like in the picture in a couples of weeks!

Off to tutorial now..see you!!

Are you What you Eat?...You are :)

Hey, I just wonder if all of you ever think of eating something great that will boost up your memory, help in your brain function and also keeping your mind young(sadly not the appearance). Researches revealed that the food you eat directly affects your brain performance. Brain food is featured on the menu today to boost your brain power.

First on the list is (my favourite) Chocolate!! It boosts brain power, rich in ‘flavanols’ that boost blood flow to key areas of the brain around 2 to 3 hours after consumption. Chocolate gives powerful short-term boost for brain= good for anyone aiming to get through exams!!! So guys, grab cheap choco in Lidl or Sainsbury or Tesco during Exam and you going to do fine!!

2nd= Fruits which are rich in antioxidants. Tasting better and sweeter than vegetables! Brain-boosting fruit are blueberries, blackberries, cranberries, strawberries, raspberries, plums, avocados, red grapes, cherries and kiwi fruit. Well, it is time to get fruity and juicy!

3rd- Fish..not fishy tales..but Fish is really good for brain since it contains lots of omega-3 fatty acids and fish oils. It is the ultimate brain food. Basically, oily fish are the best!! (like salmon, sardines, trout, tuna, herring, mackerel and anchovies).

Vegetables – anyone?? Hmm..most people don’t like it but they are really good for boosting the brain due to great antioxidants content, which are needed to help the body functioning at optimum levels. Ddark, leafy vegetables like spinach, sprouts, broccoli, and cauliflower are the best J

Drinking Water — Remember that around 80% of the brain is made up of water.Drink at least 2 litres of water a day to keep yourself fill with fluid and ‘watery’.
So, all that should provide you with plenty of food for thought and help you get your brain working to optimum levels. The adage ‘You are what you eat’ never rings truer when it comes to boosting your brainpower. Eat well, and you’ll think well!

Letter from Julius to me :)

just spent 30 mins in my life to watch different work culture in the DR....

Hei...today is Monday..well.. everyone tends to have Monday Blues...for me ..not really, I woke up early this morning, had my cereal breakfast (as usual milk and choco star) and went off to the DR. I aspect today to be a great day but not really though. I watched people working in the DR instead. Oh, if you don't really know what DR means, it actually stands for Dissecting Room :)

Well, observation is what i have done and conclusion is what i have made in this observation. I observed different work culture and different people in the DR and finally came to a conclusion that working in a DR is not really my piece of cake. It is really noisy, not matter which part of the day it is. It is always the same, i just don't understand why. It had never change since the very first day of the term. Well, can't blame too much on my peers too, maybe they just have too much things to talk and share to each other that they can go non stop. Some were socialising in the DR instead of doing any other things  constructive. To be frank, i felt really bad about it and also can't really help with that. Now, I ended up in the library with a more peaceful environment, just to get myself out of the chit-chaty place. Oh...peace of mind.

Bad things about the DR here in this Uni are: No enough chairs, no guidance, no good teaching aids...the list goes on. Well, i think I will have to stop talking about the bad things in the DR and start doing something much more meaningful to me. Chaos~

Confession of a Medical Student I

Well, as a medical student, I feel quite very bad because I have done a few of bad things in the very first term of my degree. I failed to manage my time well, often go late for class, sometimes even escaping classes. One of the major issue is that I always overslept. Well, i admit that I am a big fan of sleeping and in addition of the cold weather, i feel much comfortable in my bed than anywhere else.

I ended up missing from lectures due to that. I seriously repent and really really feel sorry for myself. I know for sure that sleep is important but I do not want to leave out my studies too. Well, i really think that I have a very poor time management and really have to improve on that. Maybe, perhaps, I would just regard term1 as the more relaxing one(laughing wickedly) but the truth is not. I think this Christmas is not a break for me. I have great work to do, have to revise through so that I am not left out. I don't really know what can be done about my illness. it is really very traumatising and worrying. This syndrome had really haunted me for so long. Last time it was always my friend who force me up from my dream but this time, i am all on my own. I know I have to do something, anyone have any idea? :) --Julius

Headline reads: "Chihuahua joins Japan police rescue squad"

Chihuahua joins Japan police rescue squad

Hei, this news is simply awesome. How ca such a cute doggy go out on the street to help policeman?? haha.. it looks like a joke but this little doggy on the left did passed it canine rescue test and will be joining the police forces soon! Woh!! really incredible..It is only seven-year-old by the name of Momo.

This little Chihuahua can save people one! But they said they would like it 'to work hard by taking advantage of its small size' which sounds like abusing animal. Anyway, I will be looking forward to see Chihuahuas around on Japanese streets if I will have a chance to visit Japan :)

"A Japanese police department on Friday appointed a chihuahua as a member of its disaster rescue squad, where it will serve alongside retrievers and German shepherds." --News

on Menu today!!!

wei wei... see what is featured on menu today!! hehe...it looks really really nice :)

Breakfast: Cereal(Choco Star) + warm Skimmed Milk... nice ;)

Choco Star ~ got this from Poundland and i think you will know the price. It is one pound and i bought this not because i want to taste it but .. because of..(<<to the left)

Well, they are so bad as they used this type of way to cheat consumers like me. I am so so innocent thus attracted by the Toy Story cartoon there. But it is fine, I am lucky enough as the choco star is not that bad...lolz..

In the afternoon (usually lunch time is 1pm - 2pm GMT ),
A simple meal during lunch= Bacon+ Bracilli + Sausages + mushroom + Fish Fingersssss+ rice :)

Mushroom is my favourite. Fish fingers are so nice and tasty. Bacon is the favourite of all. All of these are not very healthy but well, once in a blue moon. I have even keep some stock of really nice Bacon for the Winter. ;)

At night= Chicken soup (really lovely..fall in love with chicken soup) + Beef flavoured Rice (Bought this with the flavouring together with the rice...)

Chicken soup is really awesome!!! It makes me feel that I am at home. However, I know the taste of the soup is so far different from the one made by my parents. I miss that a lot a lot. The chicken sold in Lidl is okay but not really 100% sure if it is really fresh. To be frank, those chicks on the supermarket might not be fresh but this time the chicks that i have bought is quite okay as it gave me a really awesome feeling. It tasted really really great.

The Beed flavoured rice was good but 'not my taste'..lolz...their food always has a type of very special kind of spice in there. Don't know how to describe. The flavour and the taste are truly different from Asian cooking. These are western food, i know, but I just need to inform all. Don't be cheat by the very nice picture on the box.. It looks really really nice.. But it can taste really really really awful.Well, you choose then, which one you like..lolz..

That is it ... my meals here in Cardiff.. well.. the menu changes always..depend on the mood of the chef but all of them are really nice :)  --Julius

Cardiff Castle

Well, this time ...let’s talk something other than academics, since this space is not really meant for academic stuff but to keep myself relax and to reflect throughout my journey to achieve my dream.

Well, then....Cardiff Castle!!..Cardiff Castle and Bute Park are really two great place to go to relax and enjoy the beauty of historical building and also nature. I went to the castle last week and taken quite a lot of pictures. The scenery is spectacular and fantastic. It was something you can never ever get in Malaysia, as there is neither Winter nor Autumn there.

Cardiff Castle has a really big compound. Behind it is the Bute Park which is a massive park(I don’t know how big it is but I know it is definitely bigger than the Sunway Lagoon if you ever know where that is). Unfortunately, I had never been there, oh well, maybe yes, but didn’t really take a good look at it, just pass-by on the way back from Church.

The interior is really awesome and full of achitecture value!! I am sure my architecture friends would like to pay it a visit real soon. See ya then :) Next out: Winter Wonderland :P

C1004596...Julius Reported...in Cardiff.. :)

Hei there, I am glad that I am back to my blog space J It feels really great to be able to write something and to tell my friends my story and my experiences.
Here in Cardiff, everything seemed to be quite different and tough for me. I am not used to the culture and language here. I admit I don’t have a good command in English that is why I struggled. However, keep strong and confident, seek help and assistance, I believed that one day I will be able to catch their varieties of accents here. Their English can be truly different as those you heard in Malaysia, which I regarded it always as Man-glish.

Well, recently it had been quite a nice life here in Cardiff. Despite everyday hectic and tiring life, it is really a rich and enjoyable life here as a student, to be particular, a medical student. It is not a nightmare really to be a medical student. It is an enjoyable experience, at least in this very first year, I had some time to enjoy myself in the midst of business and hardwork. Perhaps this is only the start of everything, I should not be too happy yet because I know life is going to be described as “have no life” very soon in the future, that is why I remain positive now, just to avoid the bad mentality to conquer me for the time being.

It is always my dream to be a doctor, to be more specific, a doctor who is trained in the UK. It is prestigious and it really is. Cardiff University is not that bad although I had wasted several weeks in my life trying to get in my insurance choice which is University of Liverpool. The few weeks of adjustment which was a failure was not actually a failure to me. It sounds weird but that is the truth. It let me realize that my destiny is to come to Cardiff, although I am predestined to go to India with Public Service Department scholarship which I gave it up just few months ago. I know God had a good plan for me, perhaps India, perhaps it’s not, but now that I am here and thus I will do the best. --Julius

Hei all...

Hei ... if you are redirected, you are in the right place (if you did realise it)
Welcome to my blog here and I should from now onwards update my blog so that not only i get myself organised but also provide fellow friends with some useful information from time to time..
Currently I am studying in Cardiff University in the UK and really enjoy my life here.
However, medicine is really a tough course which keeps me really busy most of the time (luckily it is not all of the time), so at least I have some spare time to update this space and relax myself :)
Well, in the next post, I should update you with some pictures which I have taken here...
The buildings here are really awesome. Something not really good is the weather...
It is now Autumn time, or perhaps you can say it is winter already as the temperature is low now :)
The Sun is hiding itself from us most of the time, perhaps too shy.. :)
hmm...that is it for now..see ya real soon :P
